Our trained and highly-skilled Forest School teacher, Amy, donned her bee-keeping suit recently and led the children in a wonderful outdoors session all about our busy, buzzy friends … bees! She showed the children how to use smoke bellows to calm bees, showed them why we’d wear a protective suit and how bees produce honey. They also learned how bees help our environment too and why they’re so important to our ecology. Then the children enjoyed tasting some honey as part of their delicious snack.
